Watkins & Eager drafted Mississippi’s medical marijuana initiative, also serving as counsel and senior advisor to the campaign for the measure. The constitutional amendment was approved in November of 2020 with 74% of the vote and by all 82 counties in the largest vote for a constitutional amendment in Mississippi history. Watkins & Eager’s practice group leader is recognized as Mississippi’s only lawyer included in the Global Top 200 Cannabis Lawyers (2021-22).
