Watkins & Eager is pleased to announce Eugene A. "Gene" Simmons, Susan Durham McNamara, and R. Neill Bryant have joined the firm. 

Gene Simmons, a native of Forest, Mississippi, practices primarily in the areas of corporate, healthcare and real estate law, with emphases on nursing homes and real estate developments.  Gene graduated from Mississippi State University in 1966 (B.A. - Political Science) and the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1969 (J.D.).  Gene was a founding member of the Jackson, Mississippi law firm Wells Moore Simmons & Stubblefield, and was a shareholder with that firm and its successors until joining Watkins & Eager.  Gene is a member of the Capital Area Bar Association, the American Bar Association (Real Property, Trust and Probate Sections), and the Mississippi Bar.

Susan Durham McNamara is originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, and practices primarily in the areas of real estate law and general litigation. Her practice includes a focus on the representation of title insurance companies in connection with title insurance, claims and litigated matters. Susan graduated from Harding University in 1996 (B.A.) and the Mississippi College School of Law in 1999 (J.D.).  Prior to joining Watkins & Eager, Susan was a shareholder at the Wells Moore law firm and its successor.  She is a member of the Mississippi and Louisiana Bars and has been recognized by Mid-South Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Real Estate. 

Neill Bryant is from Laurel, Mississippi, and practices primarily in the areas of corporate and real estate law, with an emphasis on the representation of retail establishments and real estate developments.  Neill graduated cum laude from Mississippi College in 2003 (B.A., Political Science), from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2010 (M.A. - Religion), and cum laude from the Mississippi College School of Law in 2010 (J.D.). Prior to beginning his law practice, Neill served as a Judicial Extern to the United States Bankruptcy Judge Neil P. Olack for the Southern District of Mississippi. Prior to joining Watkins & Eager, Neill practiced at the Wells Moore law firm and its successor.  He is a member of the Capital Area Bar Association, the Rankin County Bar Association, the Mississippi Bar, and the Tri-County Real Estate Attorneys Association, in which he serves as Vice President.
