Clifford B. Ammons was recently inducted into the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Educational Association (MWCEA) Hall of Fame. An induction ceremony was held at the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Commission in Jackson, Mississippi, on February 27, 2025.
The MWCEA is an organization whose stated purpose is to promote, encourage and foster the advancement of education in the field of Mississippi workers’ compensation law. Induction to the MWCEA Hall of Fame is a prestigious recognition bestowed upon individuals who have demonstrated exceptional skill, achievements, and contributions within the workers’ compensation practice area.
Clifford has practiced law at Watkins & Eager for over forty-six years in multiple areas, including workers’ compensation, medical and legal malpractice defense, and nursing home defense. He was admitted to the Mississippi Bar in 1978. Clifford has served as chairman of both the Workers' Compensation Committee State Bar and Workers' Compensation and Administrative Law Section of the Mississippi Bar.
Clifford has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® since 1995 in various areas, including Administrative/Regulatory Law, Healthcare Litigation, Professional Malpractice Law, and Workers' Compensation Law. He was named the Lawyer of the Year in Mississippi in 2025 for Administrative/Regulatory Law and in 2014, 2019 and 2025 for Workers’ Compensation Law.
