Watkins & Eager lawyers David L. Brown, Jr. and Emily S. Walters have co-authored an article titled "Discovery of Electronic Medical Records, Audit Trails, and Metadata" for the April 2018 issue of the Medical Defense and Health Law Committee Newsletter, a publication of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC). The article addresses some of the challenging issues involved in the production of electronically stored medical records and provides an overview of some of the recent decisions involving this topic. 

David L. Brown, Jr. is a member with Watkins & Eager PLLC in Birmingham, Alabama. His practice is focused in the areas of automotive liability, product liability, pharmaceutical and medical device, medical malpractice, health care litigation and general insurance litigation defense. David has successfully handled and tried cases on behalf of several major automobile manufacturers, recreational vehicle manufacturers, agricultural vehicle manufacturers and hospitals in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina and Arkansas.
