Chancellor “Chance” Easterling is an associate attorney at Watkins & Eager whose practice is focused on civil litigation. Admitted to the Mississippi Bar in 2024, Chance brings to his practice a strong foundation in legal advocacy, research, and judicial clerkship experience.

Chance earned his Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law. While in law school, he served on the Moot Court Board and as Executive Editor of the Mississippi College Law Review. His comment, The Federal Judiciary’s Double Standard: How the FSIA Deters Plaintiffs in Their Search for Justice, 42 Miss. C. L. Rev. 163 (2024), received the Law Review’s Best Comment Award and was selected for publication.

Following law school, Chance served as a law clerk to the Honorable Glen H. Davidson of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi. Chance is admitted to practice before all Mississippi state and federal courts, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
