The American Bar Association (“ABA”) is the largest voluntary association of lawyers and legal professionals worldwide, and the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section (“TIPS”) community is one of the most active sections of the ABA.

TIPS Committees focus on emerging issues, technology, and substantive and procedural matters in specific practice areas.

Caroline Ivanov has been named Chair-Elect of the ABA TIPS Products Liability Committee for 2023-2024. The Products Liability Committee examines a wide array of issues associated with product liability litigation and encompasses several subcommittees dealing with topics such as automotive and machinery; drug, device, and biotechnology; food and beverage; consumer goods; class action and mass torts; eDiscovery; women in litigation; and diversity in the law.

Briana O’Neil has been named an ABA TIPS Young Lawyer Vice Chair for 2023-2024. As part of her appointment, Briana will serve as the Young Lawyer Liaison to the TIPS Council, the Young Lawyer Vice-Chair to the Automobile Litigation Committee, and a member of the TIPS Outreach to Young Lawyers Committee. The TIPS Council supports the executive and administrative functions for TIPS, the Automobile Litigation Committee focuses on a variety of practice areas associated with automotive litigation, including personal injury, products liability and insurance issues, and the Outreach to Young Lawyers Committee serves as a pipeline for new and young lawyers into TIPS.

Corey Hinshaw has been named a Vice-Chair of the ABA TIPS Business Litigation Committee for 2023-2024.  The Business Litigation Committee is a diverse group of litigators that practice over a wide range of substantive areas in all aspects of business litigation.
