Our Process
Watkins & Eager actively recruits law students for associate positions who exhibit the same integrity, intelligence and passion for excellence that has come to define our firm. We invite applicants nationwide but focus our on-site recruiting efforts on regional law schools. On-campus interviews are held in the fall and spring at the University of Mississippi, Mississippi College and Vanderbilt University. In addition to traditional recruiting, the firm considers lateral applicants. Practicing attorneys interested in applying to Watkins & Eager should send a letter and résumé, in confidence, to C. Need Experience?
Then consider applying for our summer clerkship program. This elite program provides qualified law students with the opportunity to experience life at Watkins & Eager from the inside. Participants spend their summer performing substantive research and writing assignments; attending trials, depositions and hearings; meeting with clients and experts; drafting documents; assisting with investigations and gaining valuable experience in all facets of the law. Also, we hold a variety of social events to allow clerks the opportunity to get to know our team and to network within our firm. Although Watkins & Eager has hired many individuals through the summer clerkship program, it is not required for application for employment.
