W&E welcomes its newest Associate, Lanesha L. Sims

Watkins & Eager is pleased to announce that Lanesha L. Sims has joined the firm as an Associate.

Lanesha Sims, a native of Columbia, Mississippi, graduated cum laude in 2006 from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she served as Executive Articles Editor for the Mississippi Law Journal and was a member of the Moot Court Board. Lanesha received her Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude in 2002 from Tougaloo College, where she majored in Economics with emphases in Business Administration and International Studies.

Following graduation from law school, Lanesha served as law clerk to the Honorable Henry Lee Adams, Jr., District Judge for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and then to the Honorable Carl E. Stewart, Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Following her clerkships, Lanesha worked as an associate in Holland & Knight's Jacksonville, Florida office until her return to Mississippi. Lanesha will practice primarily in the area of general litigation.
