W&E welcomes its newest Associates, John B. Howell, III and Todd J. Hartley.

Watkins & Eager is pleased to announce that John B. Howell, III and Todd J. Hartley have joined the firm as Associates.

John B. Howell, III, a native of Summit, Mississippi, graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi College School of Law in 2007, where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Mississippi College Law Review and was the recipient of the Hearin-Hess Scholarship.  Following graduation, John served as a law clerk to the Honorable David C. Bramlette, III, United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi (2007-2008) and to the Honorable Daniel A. Manion, United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit (2010).  Prior to law school, John received his Master’s Degree summa cum laude from Mississippi College in 2003, and his Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude from Mississippi College in 2000.  He is a member of the Jackson Young Lawyers Association and The Mississippi Bar.  John will practice primarily in the areas of medical malpractice litigation and general litigation. 

Todd J. Hartley, a native of Terry, Mississippi, graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2010, where he received the Vanderbilt Scholastic Excellence Award in Public International Law.  While at Vanderbilt, Todd was a member of the moot court board and a student representative of the Harry Phillips American Inns of Court.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude from Mississippi College in 2007, where he was an Associate Justice of the Student Government Association and a Presidential Scholar.  Todd is a member of the Jackson Young Lawyers Association and The Mississippi Bar.  He will practice primarily in the area of products liability litigation.
